We all want something, to crave something we see on TV, the movies, or something an idol may have. We look up to individuals that we want to be whether it be aesthetics of that person, or what that person may have accomplished. We have desire, we want to be the person that is idolized, to have a life of accomplishments and financial security.... but what most aren't willing to do is sacrifice.
When you see the word, you think to "give up something". I know that's what i thought when attending a business seminar 3 years ago, and that's what most of you will continue to think. A word that can make you nervous, bring you anxiety, and have you lay in bed staring into complete darkness while you sort through your thoughts.
You're unhappy with the way you look, but you know in order to look a certain way you need to sacrifice those wonderful foods you love like pizza, ice cream, and anything else that makes you feel satisfied basically. You really want to go to school to be something you've always admired to be, but the school is half way across the country... and there is a thing called friends that you'll miss. A job offer comes through, or promotion. You will now be getting payed salary, but close to 60 hours a week... what about time with your girlfriend/boyfriend? that's going to be gone!
When you sacrifice you aren't giving anything up, you are simply putting something aside. It will find its way back to you later, but you need room on the path you are about to travel down. You can't afford to bring it with you, or you can't at the moment, but you know in order to succeed you need to continue on without it for a while.
No one got successful over night, hard work was done, and sacrifices were made. The people we idolize were once in our predicament, but they didn't just sit there. They followed through with there plans, so they can one day have what they always wanted in life.
We want to eat pizza for every meal, have a great paying job with amazing benefits, and go home to our huge house with our beautiful wife with a perfect ass. That's not reality though, and most of us just started on our journey to success, and in order to have maybe one of those things... We need to sacrifice.
