We all want something, to crave something we see on TV, the movies, or something an idol may have. We look up to individuals that we want to be whether it be aesthetics of that person, or what that person may have accomplished. We have desire, we want to be the person that is idolized, to have a life of accomplishments and financial security.... but what most aren't willing to do is sacrifice.
When you see the word, you think to "give up something". I know that's what i thought when attending a business seminar 3 years ago, and that's what most of you will continue to think. A word that can make you nervous, bring you anxiety, and have you lay in bed staring into complete darkness while you sort through your thoughts.
You're unhappy with the way you look, but you know in order to look a certain way you need to sacrifice those wonderful foods you love like pizza, ice cream, and anything else that makes you feel satisfied basically. You really want to go to school to be something you've always admired to be, but the school is half way across the country... and there is a thing called friends that you'll miss. A job offer comes through, or promotion. You will now be getting payed salary, but close to 60 hours a week... what about time with your girlfriend/boyfriend? that's going to be gone!
When you sacrifice you aren't giving anything up, you are simply putting something aside. It will find its way back to you later, but you need room on the path you are about to travel down. You can't afford to bring it with you, or you can't at the moment, but you know in order to succeed you need to continue on without it for a while.
No one got successful over night, hard work was done, and sacrifices were made. The people we idolize were once in our predicament, but they didn't just sit there. They followed through with there plans, so they can one day have what they always wanted in life.
We want to eat pizza for every meal, have a great paying job with amazing benefits, and go home to our huge house with our beautiful wife with a perfect ass. That's not reality though, and most of us just started on our journey to success, and in order to have maybe one of those things... We need to sacrifice.

Finding a Reason
Its time leave work, and go pick up some barbells at your local gym. You go home, look at the couch and decide its best to nap. You set your alarm for an hour later. The alarm goes off and you want to hit the snooze button, but you can't. That's all you need to be set back in your training program, set back a whole week because you missed a 2 hr training session because sleep seemed like a better idea.
Competition is 2 weeks away, you walk into the gym and you're greeted with " have a nice work out!". You know you're doing more than just working out, and that reminds you on how much today's session is going to blow. You just want to walk out, go home and go right back to sleep but you don't. You start with your warm up sets, and you're wondering why the fuck it feels so god damn heavy. It's the warm up sets, and your already siking yourself out for no reason.
Now the fun begins, time for your working set. You walk up to the bar, and your brain decided to remind you of how heavy those warm ups felt, and how slow the bar moved. Now you're thinking of the reason why it felt that way, "i didnt eat enough" " I didnt get enough sleep" "Why is that
guy kissing his girlfriend after every set of bicep curls?". Excuses, your brain is looking for an excuse to say fuck it and leave. You're staring at the bar, its a fucking bar with weight on it.. and you're just staring at it. You're mind is telling you its not happening today, but your hands reach out to grip it. You count to 3 in your head and take a huge deep breath in, you feel your abs pushing on your belt... then you start pulling. First set goes up slow, and you're pissed. You walk up to the bar again now with 50lbs more on it, you take your deep breath in and it flies off the ground, every single rep.
You walk back to the chair and sit down, wondering why the first set that was 50lbs lighter felt so much heavier..... and then it clicks. You told you're mind to go fuck itself, you walked up to the bar and just did it. You're mind was being an asshole, and you were there bigger asshole by ignoring it. You just did something your body didn't want you to do, because you had a reason. You had a reason to hit each rep, you had a reason to not hit the snooze button, you have a competition coming up and you want your numbers to be higher than the last total you had.
As you can see, you just accomplished something by being mentally strong. Yes, your physical strength has much to do with it but if it wasn't for your mental strength you would have walked away. A lot can be carried on with you in normal day life, and the barbell is what taught you.
"Life has no reason" because you choose to not have a reason, It's time to find a reason why you should do something. You're mind is a complete prick, its telling you there is no reason out there. That's where you come in, and take it back over. You control the outcome of life, not your thoughts or conscious, you do.
Find your reason
